Anne Nilsson

Anne Nilsson. Born 1953. Retained by Kosta Boda since 2001, she has a studio at Kosta glassworks. Simple, but still challenging. Restrained, but still warm and personal. This is how Anne Nilsson herself describes her glass. After 18 successful years at the neighboring glassworks of Orrefors, Anne Nilsson has recently moved to Kosta Boda in search of new challenges. She has a string of successful and award-winning series behind her, including several classics. Beauty and function are two sides of the same coin for Anne Nilsson, who has the distinctive ability to capture surprising effects out of the simplest shapes. Having worked mostly with clear glass at Orrefors she is now keen to experiment with painted and colored glass.
